LMOTM is the moniker of a solo artist from Newport. Moon has been writing and creating music for decades and has been slowly releasing albums of works through Shonkphonics. Much of the work is an introspective and cathartic look at the musician’s life and experiences, wrapped in a David Sylvian giftpaper and served up perfectly to be performed at the Road House in Lynches’ Twin Peaks.
Playful electronic experimentation has allowed him to develop unique soundscapes and patchworks of beats and loops that support the moody vocals that melt in your ears like a fine chocolate. His unconventional and self-taught means of music creation has allowed him to create a glorious back catalogue of music that truly sounds like nothing you’ve heard before.
Moon wears his influences on his sleeves and leans in heavily to the smokey-room, neon-noir atmosphere of late 80s sci-fi, Lynchian moodscapes and leftfield 80s pop and electronica. A bruised soul singing light through a world of fog.
Moon has collaborated with fellow Shonk artists, Moush and Ta Malaka Matia to bring us remixed works of tracks, re-imagined in ways only he can see and hear!
This followed soon after in March 2025 with the release of the single Another Part of the Magic and this was quickly followed up with the debut album Dark Skies released that May.
The second album Monochrome was released in December 2025 and more music is on the way.
