Formed in 2019 at The Shonk’s first show hosted at the then New Le Pub on Newport High Street, billed simply with a question mark on the poster – the intention was a group of musicians would storm the stage, post show and just wig out for as long as they could and that’s exactly what happened.
Players, punters and staff took to the stage, rotating roles and vibing with one another, all the while Matt Dabb, the veteran sound guy recorded the session through the desk, manipulating the soundwaves and adding layers that freaked everyone out because no one knew he was doing it.

Regular Holistic Nights were held at Le Pub with some taking place after shows and some on standalone nights, any recordings found will be uploaded to Youtube by now, like this one, featuring Duke of Earl reciting some chaotic poem:
The Holistic House Band now get together on the third Sunday of the month at Shonkphonics HQ – our very own creative space. Worthy tracks will be uploaded to the HHB Bandcamp, so be sure to follow it.
